Caroline Mascott

Caroline Mascott - Focused on Medicine, Health, Society at Vanderbilt

Hailing from Massachusetts, Caroline Mascott currently studies Medicine, Health and Society and Cognitive Studies at Vanderbilt University. Her goal is to become a nurse practitioner contributing to the well-being of patients through compassionate and evidence based care. Caroline Mascott has completed several courses, such as Society and Medicine, Developmental Psychology, Ethics, Biology and Experimental Design among others. Caroline has completed a medical shadow experience in the emergency room at Children's Hospital in Boston.

Ms. Mascott volunteers across many organizations. While at Vanderbilt, as a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority, she tutors Nashville learners through The After school Program (TAP). In her summers back in New England, Ms. Mascott has taught those with developmental disabilities how to ride waves through Surfing with Smiles. She also took part in a Divinity Foundation Mission trip to Kenya where she taught young villagers about health care issues.

During her summers, she has served as a senior hostess role with the Tuscan Sea Grill & Bar in Newburyport, Massachusetts. There she supervises dining room availability and capacity limits assigning tables equitably among the waitstaff. Ms. Mascott also trains new hires on restaurant policies and procedures.
